I personally dont like all the labels in the gay/les community but i would say a lipstick lesbian is a female thats very,very girly,more into dresses vs jeans and tshirts.
wearing makeup used to be taboo in the lesbian scene . young lesbians now openly chase femme girls when they are femme themselves , and wear nice clothes and lipstick . The women with crewcuts , many of them overweight , at times get angry . But many of the earlier rules of the scene were absurd and tiresome . not everyone is willing to follow these outdated rules .
