It's hard to just say who prefer who, but normally a lipstick would like a soft butch, and a butch would like a lipstick.

I am a femme I guess you would call ';lipstick'; lesbian. I love soft more butchy type women. I dont like really butch women because they remind me of men. I like to know I'm with a woman, I just dont want anyone girlier than I am

Everyone is different and has different likes and dislikes. Every man doesn't think every woman he sees he wants to *ahem* with and not every woman wants to *ahem* every man she sees. I am attracted to all different kinds of women and men, it just depends on their presence and attitude, after that, I weigh whether or not there is any chemistry.
I am a lipstick lesbian and I like butch women, but that is not the case for all of us.
If I had to be one or the other i'd be a lipstick lesbian (except bi) who prefers lipstick. On a more personal level I am a strange mix of tomboy and girly-girl, I dont do my hair, or makeup, or fawn over shoes, but you wont catch me camping any time soon. I love book nerds, genlte, clean, a little crazy...and glasses. Love girls with glasses =P
